I read a while back that mathematicians, using several thousand computers were able to factor an RSA encrypted text. Unfortunately, I missed any comprehensive articles on the subject, so I don't know the significance of what happened. What size key was the original message encrypted with? i.e. how big were the two primes? How does this compare to a military-grade PGP/RSA key? X-Disclaimer: I know this isn't a bug, but feeling secure with an insecure encryption method is worse than not using one at all. To reduce traffic, reply to my e-mail addr and I will sum up replies to this list in a few days, for a total of 2 messages. cc
